We were honored today to hear from Detroit’s Mayor Mike Duggan and GDYT.org on how they are shaping the the young’s future in Detroit.

Another amazing local non-profit CODE313 is also helping the talents in many ways, including hosting summer classes to expose students to technology.

For us, the highlight was in the student (Joevell Arnold, 16) that is teaching other students how to code! Is this the future of education in technology, where students teach each other? Go teamwork!

Did someone say Detroit? STEM? Education? Of course the BrainPad is automatically involved in so many ways. Stay tuned as we follow these efforts and show you how you can do the same in your hometown.

Last but not least, thanks to Microsoft for hosting us. Beautiful offices, fantastic staff and a definitely great company.
